There is no pressure around here. You’re free to do everything, or nothing at all.

We have a swimming pool. A real, live, clean, sparkling, refreshing swimming pool for you to cool off after a surf (pool floaties included, beer encouraged).

The new hammocks are the best hammocks in the universe. Trust me, I’ve put an absurd amount of time and effort into product testing (some people call it napping).

Prior to ‘living the dream’, I was (and still am) a certified Pilates instructor who logged many hours with several professional surfers, including surfers Timmy Reyes, Jordy Smith, Maya Gabeira, Jesse Merle-Jones, and Brett Simpson. If you fancy a private Pilates session to step up your surfing, keep you entertained on a flat day, or work out any kinks you may have acquired from all the waves you caught, you’re already at the right place. Sessions include work with a Fit Ball, Therabands, and TRX.

Croquet has become the game of choice, probably because you’re guaranteed to win. My love of the game has not translated into skill. I can’t even win when I cheat. A few guys have brought their own golf clubs to hit some balls around, which gives an idea of how much open space you have.

A trip to the local market where you can shop, or get a haircut and straight-razor shave if you crave a little excitement.

We have a top of the line Slack Line — the best balance trainer out there.

You may want to take a trip to Liwa, a 1-hour drive through gorgeous mountainside, where you’ll probably see some monkeys cruising through the jungle. You may also be making this trip if you find yourself in need of an ATM.

You can trek through the local rainforest with a guide that speaks a little English, for that authentic feel. You’ll see a waterfall and cruise down a river in a dug-out canoe. This trip is seasonal depending on how much rain we’ve had.

A trip to Banana Island takes 40 minutes. You can fish on the way. Once you’re there, it’s nothing but white sand beaches,  or go snorkelling in crystal clear water. Oh, and there’s surf.

Massages. Boom.
